Madison Indiana is a beautiful small little city along the Ohio River where I was visiting recently with my wife. She was off shopping so I decided to walk about and see what the city had to offer visually. The city was founded in the early 1800’s and has some great old buildings downtown. It is fun to walk around and find the hidden gems around a city and I got lucky on this day. It was very bright day which isn’t the best for photography but it seemed the interesting things I came across were in the shade which was perfect.
I found this great old blue Ford truck parked outside these old buildings and it just seemed like a time capsule in front of the building.
This final shot captured that day I thought was a good look into the past and what this building originally was. I really like the texture in these old doors and the old signs showing through above the doors.
If you have never been to Madison it is worth the trip! I can’t wait to go back and spend some more time shooting. There is also a great state park Clifty Falls with some wonderful waterfalls just outside the city. Unfortunately all the waterfalls were dry this trip but I plan to make another trip in the spring to capture them!
