A Day at the Races

I recently discovered the Belterra race track just across the river in Ohio. They race Thursday-Monday Spring to Fall on both dirt and turf. It is a smaller track in terms of spectating area but it is still a lot of fun. Because of the smaller venue it allowed me to get right on the fence and get some great pictures. It was also fairly easy to get right up against the fence by the paddock where I captured the picture of the owner standing in a stall. This was my first time shooting horse racing and had a bit of a learning curve. Unfortunately the learning curve caused me to miss a few shots that would have been pretty cool. I was still happy with what I ended up with I hope you think so too.
